Rev Dr C William Mercer is an ordained New Thought (Practical Christianity) minister and author.  For ten years prior to his move to Charleston Rev Will co-ministered a Divine Science Church in New York City's Harlem neighborhood.  Rev Will also created a prolific wedding ministry in NYC, performing more than 850 weddings since 2008.  Now he brings that same drive and determination to Charleston, South Carolina where he trusts that many more happy couples will enjoy his participation in arguably the biggest event of their lives -- their wedding ceremony.

Before his ordination in 2007 Rev Will was a divorce attorney, community mediator and child’s legal advocate in the Colorado family law system.  Rev Will has since retired from law practice altogether.

Rev Will’s passion for history led him to write three recent books:  Present At The Beginning (2014), The Christology Connection (2015), and Courage, Conviction and Consciousness (2016), all of which focus on the history of Christian New Thought in America as well as the life and work of Divine Science founder, Malinda Elliott Cramer.

In his third book, Rev Will explores the contributions of more than 100 women to the development and advancement of New Thought over the past 150 years.  His books have received critical acclaim and he is frequently asked to present on the subjects of his books.

Rev Will has spoken at New Thought (i.e. Divine Science, Religious Science, Unity, Universal Foundation for Better Living (UFBL) and Independent New Thought Centers) services and workshops across the country as well as presenting at International New Thought Alliance (INTA) Congresses on several occasions in recent years.

"I'm so happy that we found Rev Will to work with us on our wedding. His gravitas and good humor are a remarkable combination.  Rev Will is a Renaissance man in the truest sense of the term."  -- Kristin Reid Peña
